Golden

A story of destiny, love, and self-discovery.

Golden is an original independent animated feature film rooted in Celtic mythology and Irish folklore and the timeless tradition of the hero's journey. Set between the rolling landscapes of Ireland and the Otherworld, a magical realm of eternal summer, purple skies, and golden fireflies, the story follows Órán, a teenage boy who discovers he is the unknowing heir to a magical kingdom and the key to a prophecy that could restore peace to two worlds.

With a cast of vivid characters, a richly built mythology drawing from the Tuatha Dé Danann and the Brothers Grimm, and visual inspiration ranging from Encanto to Days of Heaven, Golden is designed to be funny, heartwarming, and visually stunning, a fantastical adventure for audiences of all ages.

The screenplay and complete world-building for Golden were created by our own Stefanie Engl, including character development, locations, themes, and an original soundtrack concept. The pitch deck was designed and produced entirely in-house at As You Go Productions.

Golden is currently in development and seeking the right partners to bring it to life.
